HUATA, Mereira Matekiwaho (Mate).
Born March 13, 1912.
Died September 7, 1997.
After a long illness.
Aged 85 years.
Dearly beloved wife of the late Tom Huata (Stewart), beloved mother and mother-in-law of Jane and George, the late Ngari and Janet, Hape, the late Tamihana third, Walter, Annabella and Mervyn, Tamihana and Anne, Poia, Kathleen and the late Arnold, Jackie, Hawi and Gina, Tuki, Queenie and Hono, Oka and Marama, beloved Grandmother and Great and Great Great Grandmother to all her mokos, dear Ma to Penny, Marcia and Mihi.
Mate will be lying in state at 20 Kelvin Road until Tuesday, September 9.
A service for Mate will be held in the Anglican Maori Mission, Latham St, Napier on Tuesday at 10am, thereafter to Te Huki Marae, Raupunga.
Service at 11am Wednesday at Urupa, Tearapaiki Tepahou, Mohaka Viaduct Road.
