Huirama, Temanaoterangi In Memoriam Notice 1998

HUIRAMA, Temanaoterangi.
29.05.1905-16.09.1972.
HUIRAMA, (nee Eparaima) Mihimera.
20.11.1912-31.08.1981.
My first baby was only four days old when you left me Dad
But you knew you had another grandson and for that I am glad.
Nine short years later Mum came to your side
I was carrying my sixth child and gave birth three months after she died.
Even though I was still very young,
It was the teachings you both instilled in me that gave me strength to face the loss and the pain.
And it has been hard without you both, especially in times of trouble and strife.
I think of what advice you would give me, and then get on with life.
To all of you who still have your Mum and Dad,
Hold fast to what they say and do.
Treasure them always with love and respect
Because believe me you’ll never know how much you need them
Until they are no longer with you.
Forever in my heart and thoughts.
Your baby daughter, Loveday.
