Education: Tauranga Primary School; Tauranga District High School; Nelson College for Girls; Canterbury University, Bachelor of Science 1950; Auckland Teachers College, TTC 1951; Wolff Fisher Travel Award, 1975.
Head, Maths and Science Departments, Tauranga Girls College, 1958-1961; Head, Maths Department, Wellington Girls College, 1962-1968; Principal, Napier Girls High School, 1969-1989 (retired)Lay Canon, St John’s Cathedral, Napier, 1983-1988; Organiser, St John’s Centenary, Napier, 1985; President, Hawke’s Bay Art Gallery and Museum, 1986-1989; President, Friends of Hawke’s Bay Cultural Trust, 1989-1990.
Sports: President, Hawke’s Bay Netball Association, 1971-1973.
Recreations: music (cello player), contract bridge, gourmet cooking, gardening, craftwork.
