Represented Counties 1957, Waikato 1958, Hawke’s Bay 1959-69, Auckland 1964, North Island 1962-63 at rugby. All Black trialist 1959, 1962, 1963. Chairman Hawke’s Bay Rugby Union 1972, councillor NZ Rugby Union 1973-85.
Leisure activities include reading, music, weight training, golf.
