Retired  in 1985 as director, Bon Marche Ltd, Hastings
Golf: NZ Amateur Champion, 1955, 1959, 1961, 1962, 1964, 1966, 1971; North Island Champion 1953 1966 1970, 1972; South Island Champion, 1964; leading amateur NZ Open, 1955, 1959, 1960 1973; NZ Representative, 1953-54, 1956, 1958-67, 1969-72, 1975; Canadian Amateur Champion, 1967; runner-up, Spanish Amateur Championship, 1970
