Vice-president Canterbury Schools Music Festival Association, executive member Canterbury Society for Music Education, past chairman NZ Choral Federation Canterbury branch.
Awarded Radio Gisborne/United Building Society Community Award for services to music including Gisborne Youth Orchestra.
