Letter 1928 – Hastings Orphans’ Club

ALL COMMUNICATIONS TO BE ADDRESSED TO THE SECRETARY

Hastings Orphans’ Club (Inc.)

Hastings 13th. November 1928

H. G [B]. Poppelwell Esq,
Russell Street,
Hastings. H.B.

Dear Sir:-

On behalf of the Hastings Orphans’ Club I have to thank you very sincerely indeed for the tremendous amount of work done by you in bringing to it’s most successful conclusion the production of the Musical Comedy “The Lazy R”. My Executive feels that it is mainly due to yourself in conjunction with Orphans H. G. Davies and L. Fail, that the performance proved so highly successful and so popular with the theatre-going public of Hastings.

We are aware of the big personal sacrifice of time and business made by you during this production and my Executive feels that it cannot let the occasion pass without conveying to you it’s deep sense of appreciation of your service.

Yours faithfully,
For the Hastings Orphans Club (Inc.)
BB Rivers
Hon. Secretary.
