Letter 1931

15th. June 31.

Messrs. University Tutorial Press Ltd.,
25 High St.,
New Oxford St.,
LONDON. W.C. 2

Dear Sirs.

I have to day dishonoured your draft for £6. 10. 6d for the following reasons.

The Books ordered namely

6 Matriculation French Course.
36 Junior Exper. Science.        total value £6. 10. 6d

were ordered on behalf of a College which was destroyed on 3rd. February.  This College is not starting again. They refuse to take delivery of same and although this was a firm order you will realise that the Books are useless to them now.  The junior Exper. Science reached me after the shake and are therefore in good order and intact, but of no use to me.

Under the circumstances I am sure you will realise that I have no option but to refuse your draft.

I will be pleased to deliver these books to anyone you nominate.

Trusting that you will realise the position in which I am placed,

Yours faithfully,

p.p. FOSTER BROOK.
