My Dear Friends,

Attached is a copy of our Canvass Booklet which was given to each family at the Loyalty Dinner last evening.

The dinner was a great success.  More than 400 of our members and friends were gathered together to talk and to listen as well as pray about our Canvass.

You would have been inspired by the whole programme and I am sure you would have been specially interested in hearing the announcement of a few of the initial pledges already received.

We have started one of the greatest projects in our Church history and we know that you will want to know what it is all about so we are sending you this booklet.  Please read it carefully.

Within a few days you will receive a visit from one of the members of our Church family who will want to discuss with you our Programme and your Family Pledge.  Do not be afraid to ask your visitor any questions regarding our plans and do not be afraid to bring up any doubts which you may be harbouring in order that such doubts may be laid to rest.

The man who calls upon you will not only be giving his time but has already fitted himself for his task by making his own generous pledge.

Very truly yours

I D McKenzie

General Chairman.
