Madam,

I am commanded by the Air Council to inform you that they have with great regret to confirm the Telegram in which you were notified of the further news that your son, Pilot Officer Robert Sidney Masters, Royal New Zealand Air Force, lost his life as the result of the air operations on 20th November, 1941.

His body was found in the Western Desert, Middle East, by personnel of the Royal Artillery.

The Air Council desire me to express their profound sympathy with you in your bereavement.
