Dr. to   Herbt E. Grainger,
Boot & Shoe Dealer,
HIGH ST. DANEVIRKE [DANNEVIRKE].

Dear Sirs

Enclosed you will find the P.N. for 55/-/- signed.

I hardly think that Hannah will close this branch, without trying a different management; & the business is long established; as far as I can see Dewsnap seems to be doing a good lot more trade than I am.

He told a friend of his lately that things were much better since Xmas with him of course that might only be gas.

Will you send Williamson’s kip shooters by train tomorrow, he will be in tomorrow for them.

I have had a very poor week so far only ₤6-2-3 last week ₤11-2-9 a week before that was better being ₤17-19-6.

I am
Yours faithfully
H.E. Grainger.
