Letter Hawke’s Bay County Council 1974

March 28th 1974.

The Health Officer,
H.B. County Council,
Napier.

Dear Sir,

Re Clean Air Act

As required by the Clean Air Act we wish to notify you that we operate a pottery kiln at the above address.

This is a two chambered kiln of approx. 75 cu.ft total capacity using in excess of 100 kwh heat output over the final stages of each firing. We fire twice per month with a total of 22 firings per year. Fuel used is light diesel oil using specially constructed burners (pot burners initially and jet burners for latter part of firing) with controlled draft from fan.

The kiln is carefully operated and under complete control at all times.

Yours faithfully.
