Morning Has Broken

Morning has broken, like the first morning;
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird.
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning,
Praise for them, springing, fresh from the word.

Sweet the rain’s new fall, Sunlit from heaven,
Like the first dewfall on the first grass.
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden,
Sprung from completeness where his feet pass.

Mine is the sunlight; mine is the morning
Born of the one light Eden saw play.
Praise with elation, praise every morning,
God’s creation of the new day.

How Great Thou Art

O Lord, My God! When I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the works Thy hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the mighty thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.

Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee;
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee;
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart
Then I shall bow in humble adoration,
And then proclaim, my God, how great Thou art!

Dave’s family thank you for being here today and warmly invite you to join them for refreshments here in the Crestwood lounge following this service.
