Opening Hymn

How Great Thou Art

O Lord my God! When I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the works Thy hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the mighty thunder,
Thy pow’r throughout the universe displayed;

Then sings my soul, my saviour God to Thee;
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, my saviour God to Thee;
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

When through the woods and forest glades I wander
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees;
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur
And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze;

Reading   Isaiah 25: 6-9
Read by Sr Pamela Ward

Psalm

The Lord is My Shepherd

The Lord is my Shepherd and I want to follow,
wherever He leads me, wherever He goes.
Over the mountains, the waters and byways,
valleys and highways He’s waiting for me.

I want to go to meet Him there,
to lay myself down in His love.
The Lord is my Shepherd and I want to follow
wherever He leads me, wherever He goes.

And while on the journey to where we are going
He promised to be there to help us along,
and over the mountains we’ll walk on together,
to know all the wonders He’s given to me.

Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
that trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.

(Priest)

For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours
now and for ever.

Priest:   The peace of the Lord be with you
Response:   And with your spirit

Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, grant us peace.

Priest:   Behold the Lamb of God,
Behold him who takes away the sins of the world
Blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb.

Response:   Lord I am not worthy, that you should enter under my roof.
But only say the word, and my soul shall be healed.

Communion Hymn

Come as you are

Come as you are, that’s how I want you.
Come as you are, feel quite at home
Close to my heart, loved and forgiven;
Come as you are, why stand alone?

No need to fear, love sets no limits.
No need to fear, love never ends.
Don’t run away shamed and dishearten’d
Rest in my love, trust me again.

I came to call sinners, not just the virtuous.
I came to bring peace, not to condemn.
Each time you fail to live by my promise,
Why do you think I’d love you the less?

Come as you are, that’s how I love you.
Come as you are, trust me again.
Nothing can change the love that I bear you.
All will be well, just come as you are.

Commendation Prayer   Father Nathaniel Brazil

Recessional Hymn

Will you come & follow me

“Will you come and follow me if I but call your name?
Will you go where you don’t know and never be the same?
Will you let my love be shown,
will you let my name be known,
will you let my life be grown in you and you in me?”

“Will you love the you you hide if I but call your name?
Will you quell the fear inside and never be the same?
Will you use the faith you’ve found to reshape the world around,
through my sight and touch and sound in you and you in me?”

Lord, your summons echoes true when you but call my name.
Let me turn and follow you and never be the same.
In your company I’ll go
where your love and footsteps show.
Thus I’ll move and live and grow in you and you in me.

God saw you getting tired; a cure was not to be.
He put his arms around you and whispered come with me.
With tearful eyes, we watched, as you peacefully passed away.
Although we love you dearly we couldn’t make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.
To have had you in our lives makes us all feel so blessed.
