Educated Napier Boys’ High School; Otago University 1949-53 – Master of Arts (Hons) 1953; Knox Theological Hall 1953-55 – Dip Min 1955; University of South Africa 1985-86 – Master of Theology 1986.
Presbyterian minister, Howick Presbyterian Church, formerly resident fellow Institute for Ecumenical and Cultural Research, Collegeville, Minnesota, USA 1986.
Past president Auckland Doctor-Clergy Society.
Publications include Now and Forever (Presbyterian Church of NZ, 1964), Our Children and God’s Family (Presbyterian Church of NZ, 1972), Ask, Seek, Knock (Presbyterian Church of NZ, 1975).  Hymn writer.
Leisure activities include gardening, photography, singing, travel, painting.
