McHARDY, Mary Emily.
On February 16, 2011, at home, aged 97.
Dearly loved wife of the late Douglas of Ouepoto, Waipawa.
Loved mother and mother-in-law of Caroline and Simon Cave (Gisborne), Margaret McHardy (Waipukurau), Danna and John Glendining (Waikato), Karen and John Eagles (New Plymouth) and the late baby Andrew.
Loved Gran of nine and great grandmother of twelve. Loved sister of Pauline Phillips (Wellington).
A Waikato gathering to celebrate her life will be held at the home of Danna and John Glendining, 33 Berkers Road, Hamilton, commencing at 11am on Saturday, February 19.
Family and friends are also invited to join Mary at the Aramoana woolshed, Hawkes Bay at 10.30am on Sunday, February 20 for a last walk along her favourite beach before a service in the woolshed.
Mary’s burial will take place at the Havelock North Lawn Cemetery on Monday, February 21 at 10.30am.
In acknowledgement of Mary’s long life and contribution, donations can be made to the Aramoana Environmental and Educational Charitable Trust, C/- PO Box 503, Waipukurau 4249, for the enhancement of the Ouepoto Reserve.
