Meeting Minutes 1965

MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE HAVELOCK NORTH SQUASH RACKETS CLUB, INC., HELD AT THE COURTS ON MONDAY 8TH NOVEMBER, 1965.

PRESENT:   Mr. J. Newbigin presided over the following members : J. Frumerin, J. Grieve, B. Logan, A. Hutton, G. Wall, G. Cook, I. Featherstone, E. de Ridder, I. Lawson, R. Fraser and I. Maclean.

APOLOGIES:   An apology was received from G. Lowe.

MINUTES OF LAST MEETING:  Read and confirmed.

ACCOUNTS:   Moved I. Featherstone, seconded J. Frumerin that the following accounts be paid:

Wilsons Nurseries   £3.15.6.
Post Office   3.7.9.
H.B. Farmers’ Co-op   3.12.3.
Hart Printing House   4.12.5.
Gilberd & Co.   6.8.6.
A.W. Holder & Sons   1.3.8.
Alan Grants Pharmacy   1.6.3.

NEW MEMBERS:   The following new members were accepted:

Mrs. Penny Evans, Janet and Graeme Reid.

Moved R. Fraser, Seconded G. Cook.

RESIGNATION:   Miss S.M. Holdsworth’s resignation was received.

SOCIAL:  Charges for the social were fixed at: 10/- double
6/- single.

Carried.

FANTA MACHINE:   As this machine is still causing trouble Mr. Newbigin is to see Gilberds in the hope they can remedy the constant breakdowns or supply an alternative machine.

DEBENTURES:   Moved G. Cook seconded R. Fraser that the debentures in name of Estate Knowl Lett be repurchased by the Club.   Carried.

There being no further business meeting closed at 9.40 p.m.
