Meeting Minutes 1969

MINUTES of a MEETING of the COMMITTEE of THE HAVELOCK NORTH SQUASH RACKETS CLUB, INC. held on THURSDAY FEBRUARY 20th at 8 p.m. at the Surgery of Dr. P. F. Foote, Havelock North.

PRESENT:   The President, Dr. Foote presided over the following members:
Mrs. A. Williams, Messrs. B. Drown, M. Small, E. de Ridder, J. Newbigin and the secretary.

APOLOGIES:   Were received and sustained from Messrs. Featherstone and Frumerin.

MINUTES of PREVIOUS MEETING:   Read and confirmed.

OUT of MINUTES:
It was ascertained that keys can be cut from the original but locksmiths are honour bound not to cut duplicates.  Mr. Frumerin is to be requested to see Mr. Goddard and endeavour to get him to rectify the mistake in his original undertaking.

WATTIES TOURNAMENT:
The letter has been written to the New Zealand Association but owing to the absence of the secretary overseas, the matter has been left in abeyance until he returns.

SOCCER MACHINE:   No further report was received.

ACCOUNTS:   Moved B. Drown, seconded M. Small that the following accounts be paid:

CORRESPONDENCE:

GENERAL BUSINESS:

BUILDING & FINANCE:
A full report on the progress being made with drawing up of plans for the proposed extensions suitable for submission to the A.G.M., was presented by Mr. Newbigin.  He stated he would have a price for the alterations within a few days also a drawing.

COURTS SUPERVISION:
Moved P. Foote, seconded E. de Ridder that a recommendation be made to the incoming Committee that during the summer months we employ a person living close to the area who would periodically check the courts.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING:
Preparations are well in hand for the Wine & Cheese evening to precede the meeting and the circulars advising members will be posted within the next day or two.

There being no further business the meeting concluded at 9.30 p.m.
