Ballot vote -All 18 Members present voted to sell – Carried.

b.   FUTURE DIRECTION:

All members present agreed that we should move sooner rather than later to vacate the leased lawn, as it was providing a lawn for just a few members to use.

It was agreed that the Committee should work toward moving out by the start of the new playing season.

The idea at this stage is to become “A Club at Large”.

We would function as per our Constitution, Without leasing a lawn, in so doing we would not hold club competitions.

It was mentioned that the club may contribute to the associate fees, to a club of a full members choice, so enabling that member to play regularly.

Life member David Curtis raised the point of order relating to, the SGM held 15th April, motion pertaining to the Hastings Club amalgamating with Te Mata Club, this motion was put, result 9 Yes – 12 Against – 1 Abstained motion Lost.

That was recorded in the 15th April minutes. The said minutes were confirmed by this meeting signed by the chairperson as a true and correct record, no matters arising were put forward at that time. Therefore after they are so signed they should not be altered.
This was pointed out to the member.

On the matter of further talks with Te Mata the members decided that it was necessary to try and engage Te Mata in further talks, it was also thought a good move would be to include CHB & CNZ, if Te Mata were agreeable. It was felt that our club could not “go it alone” to the Hastings District Council again. We just don’t have sufficient number of member [members], at this point in time, to carry the necessary workload.
