Born Dunedin, 31st August 1951, son of Neville James Minto and Josephine Theresa (Nee Delich); Married Margaret Ivy La frentz, daughter of Percy and Ellen De frentz, 1973; two sons one daughter.
Education: St. Patrick’s Primary School, Dunedin, St. Edmund’s, Dunedin; St. Paul’s (Dunedin), Napier Boys’ High School, Wellington Polytechnic, Teachers Correspondence Institute, NZ Certificate In Commerce 1981; Associate Chartered Accountant of the NZ Society of Accountants 1986. Public Trust Office; Cadet Napier 1969, Estates Officer, Wellington 1972, Trust Officer, Wellington 1977, Special Business Group 1981, Manager, Special Business Group (developing corporate trust strategy for Public Trust Office) 1985; General Manager, Managing Director (relocated Head Office to Wellington 1989), Trustee Executors and Agency Company of NZ Ltd, 1988-. Involved with local kindergarten, church, school groups.
Sports: Indoor bowls; Hutt Valley Representative team 1976-79, Wellington Rep team 1989. Recreations : bowls, cricket, soccer, local community interests.
