Minutes 1975-12-09 Club Service Committee

Minutes of the Meeting of Club Service Committee of 9th December 1975 at the home of Adrian Rotherham.

Present:  Rotarians Single, Chairman, Crist, Hughes, McPherson, Price, Cross, Butler, Rotherham, Hickman, Stainer, Walker, Turner.

Apologies:  Rotarians Jones, Robertson, Rangihu [Rangiihu], Snadden, Gunn, Wainscott.

Minutes:  of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.

Matters arising:  Ladies Luncheon was a great success.  The venue DB Heretaunga was the nicest and best venue we have had to date although better arrangements were needed for the serving of coffee.

Hamish advised that he had an enquiry from one member who would be interested in joining an evening meeting Club.

Classification:  Nominations had been received for the classification of Orthopedic Surgeon, Advertising Services, Parks & Reserves, Town Clerk.

Membership and Attendance:  Peter to discuss with Max Boyle his present and future position and then advise the Board.

Public Relations:  Reported Satisfactory.

Sgts at Arms:  No problems.

Club Marshall:  Ian said he would be away on 23rd December and hoped to be back on 13th January, but would arrange a stand in.

Fellowship:  Visitors cards to be ordered.  Frank, Evan, Alan to look into.

Club Visitors:  Hamish reassured they were well looked after.

Extension Survey:  Yet to meet.  Peter has about 6 names in mind.

Club Barbecue:  Peter to consult with President Jim regarding the venue, and set date, recommended Saturday 21st February.  Sub committee of Tony, Colin, Doug and seek record of purchases from Don.

Suggested cost $2 and bring own meat.  Ian would arrange coloured lights etc.

General:  It was considered that the ventilation in our meeting room should be improved, particularly above the top table and that the Board be advised of this.
