VOCATIONAL SERVICE COMMITTEE

Minutes of Meeting held at the home of Hans Anderson [Andersen], Frederick Street West, Hastings, Wednesday 12 May 1976

PRESENT: Chairman: Gwyn Lewis, Jack Cooper, Ian McPherson, John McCormick, Hans Anderson

MINUTES: These were taken as having been read

GENERAL: The meeting resolved the manner in which the Vocational information cards should be distributed. Distribution to be as follows:

Hastings Boys High School : John McCormick
Karamu High School : Jack Cooper
Girls High School : Hans Anderson
Lindisfarne College : Ian McPherson
St Johns College : Gwyn Lewis
Vocational Guidance : Gwyn Lewis

Gwyn is to explain the project, and how it will affect individual Rotarians, to the Club.

Suggestions were called for to be made to the incoming Committee and it was suggested that they could perhaps organise a visit to the Milk Treatment station and/or Leopard Brewery and that they might encourage 5-minute talks by Rotarians to the Club on “What’s new in my line”.

It was decided that the next meeting, date yet to be confirmed, would be held at the County Club at 5.30 p m and would take the form of a Social Hour.

CLOSURE: The meeting closed at 8.35 p m

June 21st. Social Meeting held at County Club – Business Nil.
