Minutes 1981-06-16 Directors

MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF DIRECTORS OF THE HASTINGS ROTARY CLUB HELD IN THE MASONIC HALL AT 1.50 P.M. ON TUESDAY 16 JUNE 1981.

PRESENT   President Jack Cooper, Roy Batchelor, Ian McPherson, Colin Young, Keith Garland, John Eddington, Alan Walker, Max Luttrell, Charlie Trask, Frank Crist.

APOLOGIES   Mike Barry (Overseas).

BUSINESS   1.   It was Moved Cooper/Young “That the resignation of Ron Hendry be accepted with regret” Passed.

2.   Moved Cooper/Walker “That the resignation of Arthur Powell and Arnold Baker be accepted with regret” Passed.

3.   Moved Cooper/Walker “That the letter of resignation of Noel Louis be received, but that any further action be deferred” Passed.

4.   Moved Batchelor/Walker “That the Hastings Rotary Club does not accept an Exchange Student for the 1981-82 Rotary Year” Passed.

N.B.   Secretary to write to Ron Hendry, Arthur Powell, and Arnold Baker; also to Ian Johnson, Chairman of District Student Exchange Committee, informing him of the Club’s decision (No. 4 above).

5.   Moved Young/Luttrell “That Hans Andersen and Gordon Morley become “Past service” members, and Len Webb “Senior Active” Passed.

The Meeting closed at 1.57p.m.
