MINUTES OF THE HASTINGS ROTARY CLUB YOUTH COMMITTEE MEETING

Held at 110 Frederick Street, Wednesday, 9th July, 1986.

Agenda

1.   Robbie discussed his plans for the year, which include ln particular a Carnival, to be held at Fantasyland at the end of March. This project to be spearheaded by the Youth Committee, with the assistance of Vocational, but eventually to involve the whole Club. This will be expected to run at a profit, but not be a primary fundraising project, and the requirements would be of organisation of all the groups who would like to partake in a Musical Spectacular. Robbie emphasised that he expected us to use our brains rather than our brawn. I

2.   Rotoract [Rotaract] Roster:- It is important that we nominate in advance members of the Club to attend Rotoract meetings, which are invalid without the attendance of a Rotarian. This will be held over in the meantime.

3.   N.Z./Aust. Match Twin Exchange:- Michael Dunk has accepted responsibility for this, and it will be discussed further with the District Governor early next month.

4.   The longterm objective for Fantasyland is still an acoustically acceptable performing stage, which could be utilised day and night throughout the Summer months. It is hoped that the Carnival will provide the first step towards this.

5.   Ron Walker proposed a vote of thanks to Beth for her hospitality.

6.   The next meeting will be at 110 Frederick Street, at 7-45p.m. on Wednesday, 13th August.
