Minutes 2008-06-09 Directors

Minutes of the last Rotary Club of Hastings Directors’ Meeting of 07/08 year held on 9th June, 2008 at 5.30 pm, at the President’s home, 203 Karaitiana Road, Hastings.

Present: Craig Kilgour (Chair); Roger Walker; Graeme Richardson; Shirley Flaus; Alison Small; Ron Walker, and Neil Dent later for information/resolution as detailed below.

Apologies: John Peryer and Pelle Frykberg.

Minutes of previous meeting: As circulated, were confirmed. Alison/Roger

Matters arising: None.

Financial Report: As Treasurer absent, on hold til next meeting. Agreed.

Correspondence: Inwards only:

E Mail Message re offer of Speaker (onsent to David Davidson); Richard Shuker re Emergency Box item query; District: Re Conf Debate Session; PDG Brian Revell re Dist.M/ship; Conf. Chairman re Conf Dress Code; Gavin Petrie (Dis WebMaster) Re onsend of Georgia Exchange details; PGD Ron Finn re Intending Rotarians to Int.

Convenion [Convention] at L.A.; Another Speaker offer onsent to David Davidson.

General Business: Re Keith Tremain. Proposed to be made an Honorary Member. Alison/Ron. Agreed.

Neil Dent then joined the meeting. Re Charitable Trust registration. This was previously formed Neil explained. A new Registration form to be filled in for I.R.D.

Trustees legally own the assets. Discussion.

Motion: to proceed to fulfil all necessary requirements; confirm the attached Resolution points; and approve that Graeme Richardson, Alison Small and John Peryer be confirmed as the Trust signatories. Roger/Ron. Confirmed.

Neil then left the meeting.

Change-Over:- Arranged to be 1st July 2008 at the National Service Club, the Club’s usual meeting place. Fellowship 5.30pm to 6.30 pm. (Club’s Happy hour until 6 pm)

Incoming President Graeme has sent out invitations to selected people. Cost to be $20 each.

International: Roger reported that Club’s Emergency Box is now filled. Arrangements to be made to transport. Cost of items not donated was $64. Alison/Graeme Agreed

Community: Alison spoke re fund raising for “Violence in the Home” project.

Suggested Club Members run fund raising gatherings. Agreed.

The Meeting closed at 6.35 pm with Hospitality from the President.

Next meeting to be at the home of Graeme & Lyn Richardson, 1417 Maraekakaho Road, on Sunday 20th July at 4.30pm.
