Formerly teacher, assistant secretary Wellington Manufacturers’ Association 1961-64, secretary Victoria University of Wellington Careers Advisory Board 1964-70, industrial officer OCL (NZ) 1970, 1971, assistant personnel manager NZ Steel 1971-86, group personnel manager BP NZ Ltd 1986-87, general manger personnel Telecom 1987-89, general manager Defence Force personnel 1989-90, human resource consultant 1990-91; currently chief executive Institution of Professional Engineers of NZ.
Treasurer and National Council secretary NZ Institute of International Affairs Wellington 1965-67, VSA Council member 1964-72, deputy chairman 1979-71, Wellington Personnel Management Association secretary 1964-70, Waiuku Borough councillor 10 years, involved in Employers’ Association Auckland and Wellington.
