Newspaper Article 1933 – Married in Sydney

MARRIED IN SYDNEY

New Zealand Actress

Miss Patricia Nelson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Nelson, of “Laureston,” Woodville, was married to Mr. Donald G. McLarty, of New South Wales, at St. James’s Church, King Street, Sydney, on Thursday last. Mr. and Mrs. McLarty left for New Zealand by the Marama on Friday and are due to arrive here this morning. Miss Nelson has for some years been associated with the stage. Ever since she was a dancing pupil of Miss Estelle Beere in Wellington she had a distinct flair for the stage, and when still in her teens left for Australia and joined a touring revue company there. With that experience she went to England and figured in revue both in London and Paris. A few months ago she returned to New Zealand to see her parents and, after a brief visit, went on to Australia, where she joined the “Tout Paris” revue company, which concluded a season in Sydney on December 22.
