BIRTHDAY PARTY

The Coronation Triplets

The second birthday of the Hastings coronation triplets, Mary, Rose and Elizabeth, was happily honoured by their parents, Mr and Mrs J.C. Anderson, at their home at Kahuranaki, Havelock North, yesterday.

The three pretty little girls were dressed in charming little frocks of red, which made a happy contrast for their fair skin, blue eyes and dark brown hair.

The day began for them with congratulatory telegrams and by the end of the day there was quite a sheaf of telegrams from all over New Zealand. They were also the recipients of many birthday presents.

They were greatly interested in their birthday cake, which had been made by their mother.

The large cake was iced with three colours, each colour representing the birthday babies and each division had two candles in the same colour.

The birthday tea was a happy event.

The triplets are wonderfully clever for babies and I am sure every person in Hawke’s Bay as well as elsewhere will join with the parents in wishing Mary, Rose and Elizabeth many more happy birthdays.
