Newspaper Article 1952 – British Women’s Overseas Club

The British Women’s Overseas Club recently celebrated its sixth anniversary with a party held in Hastings Buffalo Hall. Mrs. M. Wainscott, in the absence of Mrs. L. Kennedy, welcomed a large attendance of members. Entertainment was given by Mesdames Hayes and Franklin, and competitions were won by Mesdames Walker and Newland. Tea was served by the committee, with the birthday cake cut by Mrs. MacLean. Photographs were taken by Mr. W. Smith, and an enjoyable afternoon was spent.
