Newspaper Article 1957 – Herald-Tribune Building

HIGHEST BUILDING IN HAWKE’S BAY.—
Steel is here seen being hoisted to the fourth floor of the new building under construction in Karamu Road, Hastings, for the Hawke’s Bay Herald-Tribune. The editorial and commercial staff of the newspaper will occupy the new offices. The time has come for Hastings to grow upwards as well as outwards and this is the first four-storey building to be erected in Hawke’s Bay. The builders are Romanes & Sons Ltd. and the architects Malcolm & Sweet.
