Newspaper Article 1957 – Pakipaki School Jubilee Decorations

To speed up the painting of the figures on the archway into the grounds of Pakipaki School, Mr. Hapi Whakaruru (above), of the Pakipaki Tribal Committee, made cardboard stencils of the designs incorporated. Mr. Whakaruru holds a stencil used for the front archway. A portion of one of the smaller replicas inside the school can be seen behind.
