The Portrait Was Not Unveiled

Portrait of Mr. D. G. Begley, of Hastings, which was to have been unveiled in Wellington yesterday in Mr Begley’s honour. On the way to Wellington Mr. Begley was injured in a car accident and died in Palmerston North Hospital. He was a leading figure in the dairy industry and was chairman of directors of Farm Products Co-operative, Wellington, Ltd., and the portrait was to have been unveiled in the board room of Farm Products new building on Thorndon Quay
