Club marks its 28th anniversary

The Hastings British Overseas Club has celebrated its 28th anniversary.

The Club’s founder, Mrs Mason, cut the birthday cake.

A musical competition arranged by president, Mrs K. Mason was won by Mrs E. Strudwick and Mrs C. Bilbie.

Members were asked to see how far back they could trace their ancestry and to relate their findings at future meetings.

Officers elected were: President, Mrs K. Mason; vice-president, Mrs E. G. Coppard; secretary; Mrs J. Sunley; treasurer, Mrs E. Isaacson; committee, Mesdames J. Brown, N. C. Dagg, A. W. Lowe, A. H. Martin, T. Stuart. and J. Massie; afternoon committees, Mesdames E. J. Matson, E. W. Ness and T. Whitehouse; hospital visitor, Mrs E. Brown.
