Waikoko House will be replaced

The Hawke’s Bay A and P Society decided this afternoon to erect another building to replace the century-old Waikoko House, which was destroyed by fire just over a week ago.

The society’s general committee set up a sub-committee to report to the next meeting on ways money could be raised to rebuild on the Waikoko site at Tomoana Showgrounds.

The committee was still discussing this afternoon whether to rebuild in the style of the old Waikoko House.
