Army huts become Plunket rooms

The new suburb of Flaxmere, Hastings, has got its own Plunket rooms – in two former Army huts provided by the Hastings City Council.

The rooms, in Henderson Road, have been painted and the area around them planted by the 10 members of the new Flaxmere branch of Plunket.

The Plunket nurse, Sister E. Leipst, will be in attendance there every Wednesday afternoon.

Mrs. T. C. Noonan, president of the Hastings Plunket Society, declared the rooms open at a ceremony last week.
