Newspaper Article 1983 – Growers’ staff

Growers’ staff

Four new staff have joined the Fruitgrowers’ Federation office in Hastings.

A new manager, David Robb, has taken over from Brian Pinnington, who retired in December after 15 years as Hawke’s Bay manager.

Mr Robb began with the federation in 1954 in Hastings, and is well known to orchardists and farmers as a salesman from 1959 to 1970. Immediately before his Hastings appointment he was manager of the federation’s Nelson branch.

Wynne MacLellan is the federation’s new grape specialist in Hastings. He will specialise in information on sprays for grapes.

Ed Hunt has been appointed as irrigation specialist, concerned mainly with designing new systems, while John MacKisack has been appointed export representative, with a special emphasis on export nectarines.
