Honour for HB orchardist
The Hawke’s Bay Fruitgrowers’ Association last night honoured Mr Howard Paynter (above) with life membership.
The 78-year old St George’s Rd grower was president of the Hawke’s Bay association from 1946 to 1952 when the guidelines for today’s successful industry were established.
