New life members

Mr Allan Hyde and Mr Keith Spackman joined the select few life members of the Hawke’s Bay Fruitgrowers’ Association last night.

Mr Hyde retires on September 25 as the Hawke’s Bay director of the New Zealand Fruitgrowers’ Federation after 12 years.

Mr Spackman retired last night as president of the association after 10 years.

Mr Ray Cartwright, the new vice-president, said both men had “given their all” for the fruitgrowing industry.

Both men were presented with gifts.
