It’s off to sea we go

It was a proud day for Napier Sailing Club member Mr Lindsay Smith when his yacht left his Waiwhare farm for the sea after 7½ years in the building.

Mr Smith’s 12-metre yacht was transported to Ahuriri on Sunday, and yesterday was lifted by crane on to the slip for its mast and rigging to be fitted.

The launching will take place in the next few weeks.

The yacht is pictured being transported along the Taihape road.
