Army helps build fort

Daniel Sivewright, left, and James Simons help Sergeant Allan Wall, left, and Sapper Noel Mason build a fort at their kindergarten on the Taihape road.

Seven soldiers from the Linton-based engineer support squadron are building the fort at Otamauri kindergarten to show appreciation for the support given during the Operation Golden Fleece.

The community donated most of the $4000 needed for the materials. The Hillary Commission gave $1300.
