Central Hawke’s Bay competitors place well in beef competition

A proud father; this Chianina bull, owned by Mangatarata Station farming partnership of Donald McDonald [Macdonald] and Charlie Anderton, sired two placegetters in the last week’s beef cut competition held at Richmond’s Pacific beef plant, Whakatu, in conjunction with the Hawkes’ Bay A and P Society. A Mangatarata entry won the two to three year old class on the hoof and another was second in the heavyweight hook competition. Other Central Hawke’s Bay farmers also featured in the results.
