Celebrating diamond wedding

Former Hastings mayor Ron Giorgi and his wife Millicent had “a memorable weekend” celebrating 60 years of marriage with family and friends on Monday. The Giorgi’s son Arthur and daughter Elizabeth came from England for the anniversary. The couple were married in Oamaru by Mrs Giorgi’s brother who was a Presbyterian minister. They have lived in their home on the corner of Eastbourne St and Southland Rd since they were married.
