Newspaper Article 1996 – New Classroom

NEW CLASSROOM: Sherenden School west of Hastings had a new classroom delivered yesterday with a second due tomorrow. The new room was transported from the former Waiwhare School which has been closed because its roll dropped below 21 pupils. The transporter had difficulty getting the classroom on to the site yesterday because of boggy ground and had to use a ground anchor to haul its load 25 metres across the school grounds.

Watching the room’s slow progress are Waiouru visitors Shane and Matthew Jacobsen.
