Wooden Edge Ltd
Wooden Edge – Makers of native timber furniture – now closer to Hastings
Already well known in Central Hawke’s Bay for the range of furniture he makes from native timbers, Dave Rolston has now moved his Wooden Edge factory to Poukawa to be more readily accessible to Hastings folk.
With demand for his furniture continually growing, and in appreciation of the local support he has received in Central Hawke’s Bay, Dave recently opened a retail shop in conjunction with Pip St. Hill and Warren [St. Hill-Warren] and Ali Jackson in Ruataniwha Street, Waipukurau, called Wooden Edge Frames. For Dave, the shop allows people to browse among a selection of the range available, and discuss their own ideas for furniture they’d like made to order. Pip and Ali are also able to talk about your picture framing and mirror requirements.
At the same time Dave and Pip purchased a property at 135 Te Mahanga Road, Poukawa, as the new site for the factory. Customers are welcome to contact Dave at the factory, or, if they prefer, visit the Wooden Edge Frames shop in Waipukurau.
Wooden Edge this month is extending its offer of wholesale prices for all furniture ordered until the end of February. So order any furniture during the month of February and you’ll pay only the wholesale price, with coffee tables from $325, bookcases from $325, and wooden trunks at $275 while you can enhance the look of your home with a scotch dresser for only $900.
While still working in rimu, Dave has now introduced macrocarpa as an alternative timber for the product range. Apart from its beauty, macrocarpa timber has the advantage of being lower in price. Whichever timber you choose, there’s no end to the range of furniture you can buy ready made or have ordered.
Both businesses supply furniture and frames to retail stores all over the North Island, but Dave, Pip and Ali are always willing to take time to discuss your personal requirements, so call in to see Dave at 135 Te Mahanga Road, Poukawa, or give him a ring on (06) 874 8666, and let him turn your furniture ideas into reality. Or you can call into the Wooden Edge Shop in Ruataniwha Street, Waipukurau, or ring them on (06) 858 8986.
