Newspaper Article 2004 – Excursion

EXCURSION: Liz McLagan poses beside a steam engine before it left Palmerston North for last year’s Art Deco Weekend. Unfortunately, the steam train rides were cancelled this year because of floods that closed the railway lines from Palmerston North through to Hawke’s Bay – but organisers hope steam train rides will play a big part in the 75th anniversary commemorations in 2006.
