Black Barn launches book

It has been two years in the making from conception to completion for Black Barn’s Portrait of a Place.

Launched last night, the book is a fitting tribute to a Hawke’s Bay landmark.

Black Barn Vineyards Cellar Door and Events Manager, Francis de Jager said it had been a great evening, with the publishers, writers, creative people and friends of the Winery gathering together to celebrate the launch.

“A huge amount of work has been put into it to get it to where it is now.”

“It represents Black Barn, but in many ways it represents Hawke’s Bay and the generosity and lifestyle of the people,” Mr de Jager said.

It is photographed by Brian Culy, and includes text and poetry contributed by Gregory O’Brien and Jenny Bornholdt, and recipes from the Black Barn Bistro menu.
