Newspaper Article 2017 – New Pukehamoamoa playground opens

New Pukehamoamoa playground opens

Pukehamoamoa School installed its long-awaited new playground over the summer holidays.

It was ready for children as they returned to school this month and includes a mix of junior and senior equipment.

The new structure accommodates all year groups at the country school with a strong emphasis on upper-body strengthening.

Not only was a new playground installed, but the old wooden playground was dismantled and resurrected into a fort, giving the children two new activity areas.

The 18-month project involved a number of groups and the school fundraising committee organised numerous fundraising events.
