Newspaper Article – Chrysanthemum Show

The Mayoress (Mrs H. P. Horne), in presenting the prizes to the successful exhibitors at the Woodville Chrysanthemum show in the Drill Hall last evening, made sympathetic reference to the illness of Mrs Gardner who had always assisted this function in what manner she could, and wished her a speedy recovery. She congratulated the growers on the magnificent blooms, making special mention of the perfect champion bloom exhibited by Mrs Anderson, who has won the prize for the champion bloom for seven consecutive years, or since the inauguration of the show.
