Highest Lions award to Bruns

AT its October monthly meeting the Waipukurau Pakeke Lions Club presented to Mr and Mrs Peter Brun, an award for their services to the community of Central Hawke’s Bay.

Many clubs and organisations within Central Hawke’s Bay have benefited from the acts of generosity by the Brun family.

Both the Pakeke Lions Club and the Anglican Care Pakeke Centre acknowledged with thanks the free servicing of vehicles which transport elderly to and from their homes to the Pakeke Centre.

The Benefactors Award presented, forms part of the Lloyd Morgan Lions Clubs Charitable Trust and is the highest honour that can be presented by any club to a business for service to the community.

Mr John Ricketts, a former director of the Trust Board made the presentation, thanking Mr and Mrs Brun for their service to the community.
