Included in brochures

IN what Mrs Judy Macdonald president of Central Hawke’s Bay Unlimited describes as an exciting regional development, Central Hawke’s Bay will for the first time be included in a regional brochure.

Mrs Macdonald said this will be the first truly regional brochure and the brochures that Hastings and Napier developed independently to publicise their areas will disappear.

The brochures of which 140,000 will be printed will have information about Wairoa, Hastings, Napier and Central Hawke’s Bay.

Hawke’s Bay Tourism Trust members visited Central Hawke’s Bay recently and met mayor Hamish Kynoch, the Central Hawke’s Bay District Council’s general manager Trevor Plunkett and representatives of Hawke’s Bay Unlimited.

Trust chair Pauline Campbell said she was impressed with the progress CHB Unlimited had achieved in a short time., saying they have a great enthusiasm and a professional approach.

She said that while a new brochure being printed would cover Wairoa, Napier, Hastings and Central Hawke’s Bay each region should develop own identities and themes.
